Collaborative Business Programmes
Do you have a business idea but don’t know how to start? Why not make the journey with others and join a Collaborative Business programme to test out your ideas as a group and learn new skills from one another.
You will learn how to design and make products with help from technical specialists and receive support in packaging, marketing and branding from design specialists.
Once your products are designed and created you will test how they sell by trading at markets or pop up shops all over London. All programmes and workspaces are family-friendly and have flexible hours. Everyone is welcome - no prior experience or ideas necessary!
Have an idea and would like to join one of the programmes?
Programmes start in September. To participate, please
register online by Sunday 18 August.
Do you a store cupboard product idea, like pickles, chutneys, spices, sauces or jams?
Yes? Then join Pantry, a food collective started by residents of Barking and Dagenham last year. A food expert will teach you how to make your product more nutritious and shelf-stable, and how to seal them securely in jars and packaging. Together with others, you will then sell your product with other food makers at a market stall in London.
Are you someone who bakes regularly and loves experimenting?
Join Baked, a new collective of bakers from Barking and Dagenham. Together you can experiment with recipes, learn advanced baking skills and create new products that will be tested by selling at local markets. Bring your ideas with you, popular recipes or something completely new!
Do you love cooking and want to create food for people to enjoy at events or pop ups?
Join Everyone’s Kitchen, a group of people who want to make and sell fresh, delicious food together and develop healthy food and drink menus! No experience needed, just a love for cooking and working together.
Have you ever dreamt about having your own shop? Or selling the products you’ve made?
Design-Make- Sell is for any resident who wants to make and sell homeware products. Anyone with an idea or interest in making or learning something new is welcome.
You will learn how to design your product idea with the help of skilled designers, and learn how to make it using machines and softwares. Together as a group you will then set up a shop and sell your products in the borough.
