ASSET MANUALS
These Asset Manuals have compiled over five years of invaluable insight from Everyone’s Warehouse open-access maker space. The Asset Manuals include comprehensive guides on utilising machinery across nine diverse areas. They not only include step-by-step instructions on how to use machines, but also prioritise inclusive practices for setting up a safe and creative making environment.
Each manual is designed for easy printing and includes essential signage, labels, co-care checklists and health and safety documents for operating the spaces and machinery. The goal is to empower anyone interested in establishing their own makerspace by providing accessible and shareable resources.
The assets from Everyone's Warehouse itself have now been gifted to a variety of organisations in Barking and Dagenham to continue providing opportunities for making, creating and collaborating. The location of the new homes were decided upon by a panel of residents & local organisations, and prioritised places that could continue access for local people to use them with as few barriers as possible. We hope they continue to provide people with the rich ideas, collaborations and inspiration that formed the basis of these manuals.
