Project Designer, Barking

Why I wanted to join the team.

I first experienced the programme through AJ (project designer) and loved the work him and the team were doing so when the vacancy was sent my way, I knew I had to apply. The chance to be a part of something benefiting the community and for it to be my local community was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. My drive to support people and help people to see their potential has always been important to me and I have always desired to work for an organisation who’s ethos and values aligned with mine. Participatory City is that organisation! I admire the way in which the team pull together to support one another allowing them to support the residents in the best way possible. I’m excited to be a part of all of the positive changes are happening in Barking and Dagenham.

A little bit about Stephaine background

Steph has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 8 years. Her most recent role as a People Operations Manager has been a great experience for her especially because of her passion for food and working with different types of people. Music is Steph’s medicine. She is a huge music lover as well as a singer/rapper and loves to express herself through the music that she writes. Steph is really looking forward to sharing and using her creative skills in working with the team and residents in all of the amazing ongoing projects and those to come!
