We're ending our spoken Word School with a celebratory festival, dedicated to the celebration of words and poetry!

We'll be having an action packed day of workshops, thrilling performances, discussions and an open lunch.

Join us to hone your skills at one of the workshops, and find inspiration in our lineup of local performers.

2.00pm- Workshop by Anthony Anaxagorou

Anthony will look at spoken word poetry as a means of expression and help us to explore new approaches to poetry performance.

3.30pm- Workshop by Jacob Sam-La Rose

Jacob will be getting us writing with prompts and exercises, offering tips for performance. He'll be shedding light on how we continue to grow our poetry community locally.

5.00pm- Potluck Social with Poetry Booth

We'll be in the back garden enjoying the sun and a Potluck Social! Everyone brings a dish to share and we end up with a feast of delicious and diverse dishes.

6.00pm- Local Performances

Dauda Ladejobi

A poet, actor and rapper from Barking and Dagenham.

Aislinn Evans

An East London poet and artist, former SLAMbassador, Poetry World Cup finalist and youngest ever UK Slam Champion.

Celestina Rowaiye

A poet whose work explores the human condition whilst simultaneously capturing the story of everyday people.

Gboyega Odubanjo

A British-Nigerian poet born and raised in East London.


A poet and artist, hailing from the borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Native Sun is a London based duo who fuse Hip Hop and African rhythms with the aim of promoting a positive message of Universal Peace, Equality, Social Justice and Environmental Change.
