Why I wanted to join the team?

I’ve always enjoyed the exploration of different materials and new processes and applying it to design. Every One Every Day is a unique project and allows me to explore design and its impact at a large, societal scale. Traditionally, third sector design communications are very bland, so it’s a real privilege to be part of changing that narrative and ensuring the Every One Every Day comms are the best they can be. I’m lucky enough to work closely with the team, across all the different areas of the foundation. It’s inspiring daily, being around both staff and talented residents and seeing how their involvement is directly benefitting the local community. For me, being a part of that positive change is what means the most, especially in a place that’s changing every day.

A little bit about Laura's background

Laura is a London based, multidisciplinary graphic designer who’s interest lies between the intersects of design and research. Studying graphic design at the Sheffield Institute of Art is when she realised that design can be used as a powerful tool to provoke discussion and engage a wide range of audiences. Laura has worked on many complex projects, using design to evoke different perspectives on societal norms, focussing on design as a form to discuss, debate and interrogate.  Laura has a keen eye for detail, loves bringing her designs into the physical world through textiles, and this interest leads her to discover different cultures through on her travels the old and new artefacts they produce.
