Imagine The City

In November 2012, creative studio Beforelight and non-profit organization Imagine The City created an urban installation from 150 lamps donated by Pitakki Street neighbors in Athens.

The project brought a new identity to the street, which got everyone involved in the design and making of the new loWok to their street. It meant that people met their neighbours and were brought together whilst creating something beautiful.

Rue de Mail

A street in Paris (rue de Mail) was decorated with linen lamp shades to create an illuminated walkway.. Created by the neighbourhood with the help of Club Masters of Linen, people chose materials and created designs together using materials and fabrics that would have otherwise gone to waste!
