There have been lots of ideas shared as to how this could happen, including use of food tech rooms for residents to learn cooking from each other, sports facilities to keep the community active and possibly turning a part of the grounds into a community green that everyone can develop and enjoy together.

We would love to hear some of your suggestions. Please drop into the tea and toast session or email

Greatfields School lies within the heart of the Gascoigne community in Barking and has amazing facilities for the students. The school would like to open up the doors for the community to benefit from using the facilities during school holidays.

The school is now working in partnership with Every One Every Day to create relationships in the wider neighbourhood and get things kickstarted. The sessions below are the first of what we hope will be many sessions that will see the school become a regular hub of practical activity with local people working together.
