Are you at school, retired or at home with children and want to pull together ideas and products for a mini-shop that you can grow without too much risk and time?

About

Design Make Sell is a two month long programme for residents of Barking and Dagenham who want to make and sell their homeware products and crafts. For example jewellery, ceramics, glassware, textiles, homewares, illustrations and more. For food product ideas, please join Pantry.

Any resident with an idea or interest in making or learning something new is welcome. You may not know how to design, how to make things, don’t let this turn you off! No matter what stage you’re at with your product, we can help you!

Join the Open Info Session for more information - and bring your idea or product. You will also meet others interested in joining the programme.

Open Info Session at Warehouse Launch Festival - Saturday, 16 March, 2.50 - 3.40pm, at the Warehouse, 47 Thames Road, IG11 0HQ

How it will work

The Design Make Sell programme has three stages:

Design: Get one-on-one support from a skilled designer to help turn your product idea into reality

Make: Enjoy access to machines and software. Learn new making skills and have a space to work in to create your products

Sell: Get ready to sell your products in the borough. Set up and run a pop up shop together with other residents

The programme will start with a Design-A-Thon at the Warehouse where you will have a morning or afternoon session with a skilled designer.

You need to attend one session in order to participate in this programme. These sessions can take place on Tuesday 19, Thursday 21 and Saturday 23 March.
