Learn how to make your own loom and to weave.
A loom is any device that holds threads and helps you to weave them together. People all around the world have been using this technique for centuries to make decorative cloths and tapestries.
This project was started as a collaboration between two residents, Emma from Sierra Leone, and Sreevalli from India who both learnt how to use and make their own homemade looms when they were young and want to share these skills and knowledge with more local people!
You can use a loom for lots of interior design projects such as making table cloths, chair backs or even a new blanket. Younger makers can even get involved by making a mini loom using cardboard, pins and some thread!
