Family Cook was created by a group of parents in Barking. The idea is that while families cook in the kitchen, there is also a kids area close by, so that child care is also shared.
This means no one misses out, and you have space for those who want to take a break, because we know kids can change their minds often. The parents involved each take turns to keep an eye on the children.
Family Cook sessions are a great chance to socialise with other parents and children, cook together in a community kitchen, cook in batches and take home equal portions of the delicious food you have prepared together.
Family Cook is a variation of the Great Cook project. It is an opportunity to try simple home cooked recipe ideas for the whole family to make and enjoy together.
