Crochet and Cake is all about learning how to crochet as well as sharing crochet skills and tips with one another in a friendly and cosy environment.
The project started in the Ripple Road shop when resident Nertila wanted to share both her crochet skills and her love for baking. Crochet and cake creates a relaxed atmosphere for learning and creativity. You can bring your favourite cake to share with everyone to enjoy some delicious food whilst learning!
There is also an online version called Crochet and Knit. Crochet and Knit was launched in March 2020 when residents could not meet in person. The weekly online session invites everyone to come and join in to crochet and knit along in a social environment. If you don’t know anything about crochet or knitting, you can also learn the basics here.
All sessions are open to everyone and are also kid friendly!
